Missouri Acupuncture specializes in both Acupuncture and Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) services.

For nearly 5000 years, Chinese Medicine specialists have been treating the ailments of mankind.  They have literally kept meticulous records of the onset of disease and its progression through the body.  They have provided modern medicine with a complete encyclopedia of disease insults and how they have been treated for centuries.  This has provided centuries of unbiased disease data with which to understand the disease mechanism and how to interrupt its progression in the human body.  Steeped in traditon, culture, and cosmology, Chinese Medicine and Acupuncture was always viewed as Folk Medicine with no basis in scientific method or fact.

We also offer an extensive Chinese Herbal Pharmacy like none other in Kansas City.  There is a saying, "Chinese Medicine is 90% herbs, 10% acupuncture" that we follow.  All of our practitioners are extremely confident and trained in the use of Chinese herbal formulas.  The majority of our herbal pharmacy is pharmaceutical grade powders.  We also use tinctures, tablets, and raw herbs that have been examined by the FDA for pollutants and toxins.  All of our herbs are bottled and produced here in the United States.  We do not use the typical "patent" medicines found in China and many clinics here in the US.  We pride ourselves on the compounding of your herbal formula here and it is designed for you...not for everyone else.  It's this personal service that we find the most helpful in your healing process.

Apart from Acupunture and Traditional Chinese Medicine, our clinic provides a working relationship with the protocols offered by Neuroscience, Inc.  This organization has established a technique with which to measure the neurotransmitter profiles of individuals through a simple urine test.  Now, this test is statistically significant and they have established protocols in the treatment of disorders like ADD/ADHD, anxiety, and depression.  They provide the expertise and the use of amino acid therapy instead of drug therapy for the aforementioned disorders.
